We Make Good (www.wemakegood.ie) is a new Irish design Social Enterprise, set up by Dublin charity, Quality Matters. We are creating social change by selling beautiful irish-designed products which are made by disadvantaged people across Ireland; people with experience of prison, people with disabilities, Travellers and Refugees.
This summer we are setting up a textiles Social Enterprise in Dublin city centre, which will provide training and employment for women from a refugee background - in sewing and garment construction, machine knitting and textile printing. Our innovative project, the first of its kind in Ireland, will support these women to build a better future for them and their families.
Environmental sustainability is core to our business model – we are particularly interested in recycling materials. If you have unwanted/worn out sails/tarps/canvas (whole or offcuts) that you would like to get rid of, we would be delighted, and grateful, to take them off your hands!
Please contact Joan 086 firstname.lastname@example.org or Isabelle email@example.com if you have anything you would like to donate. Collection can be arranged. Thanks for your support!
